Built for people who actually download games

This isn't a link list. It's a download manager designed around how big game files really behave — queues, retries, extraction, and your files ending up where you can find them.

⌕

Search that actually finds it

Full-text search across the whole catalog, with platform filter chips. Search by title or genre and jump straight to the game — no digging through sixteen separate apps.

↓

Downloads that survive real life

Background downloads with pause and resume, a queue that keeps going while you do other things, and automatic restore after an app restart. Big files — PS3 games run up to 24 GB — are handled, not hoped for.

▣

Extraction built in, not bolted on

A native extractor handles ZIP, RAR and 7z, detects the real format from the file's magic bytes (not its name), picks the bootable game file inside, and cleans up the archive when it's done.

▤

Mirrors, checked before you commit

Games list every available mirror. The app probes reachability before downloading, so a dead link doesn't eat your evening — and if a direct download won't work, it falls back to your browser.

▶

Straight into your emulator

Finished downloads hand off to the emulator you already have installed — DuckStation, ePSXe, RetroArch and more, per platform. No emulator is bundled; the app plays nicely with the ones you chose.

♥

A library that remembers

Downloaded games and favorites live in your library, and catalog updates never wipe them. Re-seeds replace game rows in place, so your downloads and favorites survive every refresh.

How it works

1. Find it

Browse a platform or search the full catalog by title, genre, region or year.

2. Download it

Pick a mirror and let the background queue do the work — pause and resume any time.

3. Get it ready

Archives extract automatically and the finished game is copied to your public Downloads folder.

4. Play it

Open it in your emulator of choice, right from the game screen.

Your files, where you expect them

Finished games are copied to your phone's public Downloads folder (or a folder you pick), so they're yours outside the app too — open them in any emulator, back them up, or move them to another device.

The catalog itself is fetched remotely and refreshed without wiping anything: your favorites and download history survive every update. Settings stay in your hands — concurrent downloads, Wi-Fi-only mode, automatic extraction, haptics, theme, and grid or list view.

Free, with ads — and nothing else to pay

All Retro Games ROM Downloader is free. It shows banner, rewarded and app-open ads from Google AdMob, and that's the whole business model: no account, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no game locked behind a payment.

Questions, answered honestly

The things people actually ask before installing a downloader.

Do I need an emulator?

Yes — the app downloads game files and hands them to an emulator, but it doesn't include one. Install DuckStation, ePSXe, RetroArch or whatever you prefer for a platform, and the app will offer to open your downloads in it.

Where do my downloads go?

To your public Downloads folder by default, so the files stay yours even if you uninstall the app. You can also pick a custom folder. Archives are deleted automatically once extraction succeeds.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-in, no profile, and no account of any kind. Your favorites, downloads and settings live on your device.

Can downloads pause and resume?

Yes. Downloads run in the background, can be paused and resumed, survive app restarts, and pick up where they left off instead of starting over. A download queue with concurrent slots keeps several games moving at once.

Why do some games have no screenshots?

Screenshots come from the catalog source, and the source doesn't carry them for every game. Where screenshots exist, the game page shows them; where they don't, you'll still see the cover, genres, region, size and release year. Nothing is invented to fill the gap.

What if a download link is dead?

Games usually list more than one mirror, and the app checks a mirror is reachable before it starts. If direct download still isn't possible, it falls back to opening the link in your browser.

Your childhood library is waiting.

Sixteen platforms, thirty-three thousand games, one app that treats downloading seriously. Free on Android.
